US Grades Listed by BS 5268-2: 2002

  • Plywood used for structural purposes must be approved and certified as appropriate.
  • BS 5268-2 Structural use of timber: code of practice for permissible stress design materials and workmanship carries a list of approved plywood types and grades.
  • It also names the national organisation required to conduct quality control procedures. In the US this is either APA or TECO.
