Span Rating

  • The span rating denotes the maximum recommended centre to centre spacing of supports (measured by the US in inches) over which the panel should be placed with the long dimension across three or more supports.
  • Rated Sheathing : the span rating consists of two numbers: the left-hand number refers to installation over roof supports and the right-hand number to installation over floor joists.
  • Rated Sturd-I-Floor : the span rating consists of a single number, followed by the letters 'oc' standing for 'on centre'.
